Obituary of Donald Francis Mosley

Donald Francis Mosley (Tidy) of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away on Thursday August 24,2017 at the age of 61,

Donald was born to the parents of Hazel and Verily. Mosley, He was the 4th child out 8 .  Donald was educated in the Newark public school system, where he advanced in academics and sports.  He loved basketball and played well.

After high school Donald, spent a year at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City,  he later became a welder and worked in West Caldwell in the early 80’s. later he worker for the city of Newark in the sanitation dept.

In 1991,Donald joined Calvary Baptist Church, of East Orange NJ, and was baptized .

In 1992, He married Karen Crenshaw, to that union Donald Jr, was born.  He and his family moved to Hillside,N.J.  

Donald later decided he wanted to become a businessman, so he started Don’s Development LLC, where he developed a cleaning company and then a transportation company, a variety store and a barbershop. Which he maintained until his health started failing him. He took pride in being a entrepreneur.

Donald always was looking for a business opportunity, he was generous and very sensitive man.as well as a stubborn person.  But one thing for sure, he LOVED. Cars.  Donald also Loved kids and when he saw them he would always bite them on the cheeks.

Donald had many quotes, and he loved to make jokes. You can caught him saying “That’s my man”. Or I’ll call you back.  Or “Don’t tell me. Tidy loved life and had a big heart .

Donald was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Sutton and Verily Mosley Sr. brother Verily Jr., Sisters, Linda and Lorna Mosley.

He leaves to cherished his memory, his children, Lateshia Levins( Raleigh, North Carolina). Terrance Mosley ( Cockeysville, Maryland ) Jamil Chavis East Orange, NJ) Aisha Jordan ( Newark, NJ) Tykia Barley( Altoona, Pennsylvania) Vincent Crenshaw and Donald Mosley of Elizabeth, NJ.

Siblings : William( Beatrice) Mosley,  Newark NJ, Laura Washington of Linden, NJ, Joan Mosley of East Orange, NJ, Darryl Mosley of Newark,NJ. And step sister Yvonne Olive.

One daughter in law Danielle Chavis,

His companion Caren ( Hanifah) Carey.

His life’s partner Karen Mosley

10 Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and relatives and friends.
