Obituary of Felicita Crespo

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25

Felicita "Elisa" Crespo was born January 21, 1947, in Lares, Puerto Rico, the second of ten children born to Felix Crespo and Delfina Gonzalez. 

Elisa grew up in Puerto Rico and came to New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1968 at the age of 21. She was a stay at home mother who raised her three daughters as a single parent. 

Elisa loved gardening, cooking and Spanish music. She would spend time nurturing her plants. She helped raise her three youngest siblings with her father. Her mother deceased in her early 40s in 1967 and her father deceased in 1983. 

Elisa's life revolved around her three daughters, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. They were her life. She loved smiling and having fun with her family. She dedicated her life to her one special needs daughter as well as accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. 

Elisa's favorite times were the holidays when all the family would come together. She loved when everyone had a big appetite. She would feed them and was very hospitable. 

Elisa is survived by her daughters, Marisol Howard, Carmen Pagan, and Lissette Crespo. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, one son in law; Ronald Howard, six brothers and three sisters, and many relatives. 

Elisa will be deeply missed as we loved her dearly,  but God took her to her resting place.
