Born on May 8, 1994, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to proud parents Altaron
Robinson and Dawn Wyatt. Altaron Amir Robinson was born in Mullenburg
Hospital in Plainfield NJ.
Known affectionately as “Wookie” (a nickname given by his grandmother, Karen
Robinson), he was known by many names Wookie, Wooka Man, Daddy,
Grandson, Nephew, Dog , and just plain “Wook” by those who knew and loved
him.
Altaron was a product of the Manville and North Plainfield school system in
Somerset County, Altaron played football as a running back and safety at every
level—elementary, middle, and high school until graduating from North Plainfield
High School in 2012. As a kid, he enjoyed the after school program in
Bridgewater NJ known as the Martin Luther King Center which made him popular
in the Bound Brook, Somerville, and Manville areas.
Altaron transitioned on September 27, 2024. He is survived by his father Altaron
Robinson Sr and Mother Dawn Wyatt. His children: Aliyah Robinson, 9; Alyvia
Robinson, 7; Altaron Amir Robinson Jr., 5; Alikai Robinson, 4; and Leiyanna
Mercado. 3(Destiny Mercado, mother). His siblings Abdul Conley, Antwoine Coleman (deceased), Altaryck
Robinson, AlNasir Robinson, Altajeir Robinson, Francisco Nieves, Gavin
Robinson. Sisters Al’lea Robinson and Taleema Jones. He also leaves to
survived his grandparents Lee Arthur Gee, Karen Robinson ( James), Ronald
Dismuke, Arlene Grubbs-(deceased) (Curt) and Thomas Wyatt. Aunts Lauren,
Atia, Sandra, Rasheerah and Nieka. Uncles Kenneth, Adam, Ronald, Allen, 55
cousins and host of other relatives and friends. Left also to survive his loss also
is Jacqueline Davis mother of children; and Fiancé Kadeijah Ambrose. We would
also like to acknowledged Lance Jones for being instrumental in Wookie’s life
