Daniel Mcadams

January 8, 1987 — August 15, 2020

Daniel Matthew McAdams departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 15, 2020 surrounded by loved ones at his parents’ home in Somerset, NJ. He was 33 years old. Daniel McAdams was born the youngest of his siblings on January 08, 1987 in New Brunswick, New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to Beverly Karen White and James Wesley McAdams Sr. Daniel graduated from Franklin High School in Somerset, New Jersey. Daniel was employed by Rutgers University for many years and was such a dedicated and respected employee, that in tribute to his memory, the Rutgers flag will be lowered to half-staff in his honor. Daniel was extremely family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his fiancé and looked forward to football Sundays with his parents, siblings and nephews. Daniel was an avid fan of the New York Jets, the LA Lakers and Kobe Bryant. Competing in his family’s fantasy football league was a time-honored tradition in which his presence will be sorely missed. Daniel also loved video games, regularly playing NBA2k with his brother, nephews and local neighborhood friends, and enjoyed listening to hip-hop music, counting Biggie Smalls, Nipsy Hustle and Kevin Gates among some of his favorite artists. Daniel was known as a gentle giant, with a huge heart that was felt by all who encountered him. Daniel is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Marion and Bill White; and paternal grandparents, Eunice and Sam McAdams. Daniel is survived by his mother, Beverly McAdams and father James McAdams Sr. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancé Cassandra Gonsalves, sisters Dawn (Timothy) Taylor, Nicole (Michael) Hoagland, brother James (Alesha) McAdams and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
