Darryl Lee Watson - 62 of Scotch Plains, NJ departed this earthly life on November 28, 2020 at JFK Hospital, Edison, NJ. The son of James Watson and the late Nellie Grace Williamson- Watson. He was born January 5, 1958 in Belleville, New Jersey. He resided in Newark, New Jersey before relocating to Scotch Plains, New Jersey in 1965. He attended Scotch Plains Public School System graduating in 1976. He was employed as a warehouse worker at Control Marketing Garden State Shipping and ADF. Later becoming a Valet Driver with YLP until health issues forced him to retire. Darryl was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He had a passion for art, music and cars. His love for music later gave him the opportunity to become a DJ where he hosted many parties and events. He like to draw and putting model cars together which was his favorite pastime. Darryl was always willing to offer his service or help to anyone in need. He treated everyone with kindness and never judge anyone he met. He greeted everyone with a smile. His love for his friends and family was contagious. His love for cars and music help him to inspire people around him to take interest in good music and cars. He would drive in his 1986 Nissan Maxima which was souped up with the lights, stereo system and gadgets. He would pump up his base in that car and nod his head enjoying himself. His memory will live on in our hearts forever. One of a kind, one in a million. He was predeceased by his mother Nellie Grace Williamson-Watson and father in-law Arrie Finley, Jr. . Surviving are his father James Watson (Turkey, North Carolina), wife Lisa Watson, daughters Sharnise Watson, Shantel Ruiz and Sherone Watson (Avenel, NJ), 7 grandchildren, brother Donald Watson (Scotch Plains, NJ), sister Eris Melinda Watson (Scotch Plains, NJ), Aunt Annie P. Williamson (Clinton, NC), Uncle Eddie Wiliamson (Clinton, NC), Uncle James Williamson Jr. (Willingboro, NJ), mother in-law Shirley Finley (Jonesboro, GA). He leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
