Elizabeth Milton

September 20, 1930 — February 22, 2024

In loving memory of our dearest Elizabeth Milton, born on September 20th, 1930 in Cairo Georgia to the late Will Jones and Della Jones. She attended the Grady County public school system. Later in her years she moved to Florida before settling in New Jersey where she started her family. She was a woman of great faith who served as an usher and member of Bethel A.M.E church of Vauxhall until her health declined.

Elizabeth radiated warmth and kindness throughout her 93 years. Her unwavering love and nurturing spirit enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She loved family gatherings and anticipated annual reunions. In 1981, she was a founding member of the Chester-Holmes Family Reunion.

Elizabeth has definitely left her imprint on our lives. So many priceless memories, timeless wisdom and valuable lessons. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she passed down and the values she shared about resilience, compassion, and the importance of family. Elizabeth was the last of 13 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Phyllis, granddaughter Tiffany, great granddaughter Jordyn, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. As we bid farewell to our beloved relative and friend, we find solace in the love she shared and the undeniable impression she left on our hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
