Eloise Jasmin

February 3, 1923 — September 11, 2017

Eloise (Kelton) Jasmin was born to the proud parents of Holland and Angelina “Pannie” Kelton on February 3, 1923 in New Brunswick, NJ. She was the second eldest of 10 children. Eloise left school in the 8th grade to assist in caring for her brothers and sisters, a task that she never complained about. She was married to Joseph W. Jasmin Sr. and of this union 5 children were born; Diane (Jasmin) Mitchell, Sheila Jasmin, Joseph W. Jasmin Jr., Cathy (Jasmin) Walker, and Gail (Jasmin) Spencer. Later in life she returned to school and obtained her high school diploma and even completed some college courses. Eloise remained a resident of New Brunswick most of her life and later moved to Somerset, NJ. She was employed with the New Brunswick Board of Education, until her retirement just 10 years ago, at the age of 84. She taught 3 generations of Pre-K students, of which she truly enjoyed. Eloise was a devoted member of St. Albans Church in New Brunswick, NJ where she was known for her sweet and kind spirit. Eloise enjoyed traveling with her sisters; they traveled around the world to places such as Spain, Italy, China, Hawaii, Germany, Mexico, Dominican Republic, California, Japan, Africa and a number of other places. She is predeceased by 7 siblings; Elizabeth Milan; Shirley Jones; Evelyn Hatley; Richard Kelton; Kenneth Kelton; Holland Kelton, and Arthur Kelton ; 2 Children Joseph W. Jasmin Jr. and Cathy (Jasmin) Walker. Her memory will be forever cherished by; her siblings Dorothy Willis and Carolyn Smith both of New Brunswick, NJ; her children Diane (Jasmin) Mitchell Dayton, NJ; Sheila Jasmin Somerset, NJ and Gail (Jasmin) Spencer (Michael) Somerset, NJ; her grandchildren Landon Jasmin (Nora), Warren Mitchell III, Zanyette Mitchell, Chaneek Hayes, Dale Hayes, Ja- Ja Walker, Raquel Jasmin, Joseph Jasmin III, and Fashionette McKellop; 19 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
