Franklyn Broomes

December 28, 1948 — February 24, 2020

Franklin Augustus Broomes Sr. Better known as Frank, was born December 28, 1942 in Port-of-Spain Trinidad to Sheila B. Clarke and John Michael Broomes. He was the fifth child of eight siblings. Frank was preceded in death by brothers Ossie Clarke, Lenox Clarke, Henry Broomes, grand daughter Summer Philips, and Sister Joycelyn Long. He is survived today by Joan Young, ( England). Janette Thomas, John Michael Broomes jr (Trinidad), Algernon Bhoomz, Lynette Gallagher, and Brenda Broomes of New Jersey. Franklyn retired as an Environmental engineer for the state of New York. Frank was the husband of his loving wife Adefoluke Abioye Broomes (Princess). Brother in law of Esther Edun, Adewale Edun, Chief mrs kehinde okunola, Pastor kehinde Joshua Adenuga, of the (Church of the Lord Emmanuel parish NJ). Then he study ConstructionTechnology while training at the family Business (Broomes Construction Company), in the various building construction Craft. Franklyn was also a volunteer Fireman in Trinidad and Tobago. He migrated to the USA on February 15th 1968 and obtained Citizenship on September 13th 1991. He made Brooklyn his home, where he developed so many friends. In an effort to realize the American dream he attended New York City College of the City University of New York Major in H.V.A.C –Mechanical Engineering. He graduated in 1989 with a BS degree and continued to study electrical engineering for a BS in engineering science. Also he attended AMT Technical School and attained a Certificate in Technology and Computer Technology. He enrolled in Brooklyn Technology College where he attain a Degree in Environment Science and Technology. Frank was trained by the DOE, in conjunction with New York State, DHCR-ESB in energy conservation. Using the weatherization Assistance program which helped low and fix income families to reduce their utility bills. He was employed with cooperate for youth Energy Corps Inc. a non-profit Agency. Which is a sub-grantee in network in the New York State weatherization assistance program, under DHCR-ESB. He also worked with (Vertipack Systems). An Air conditioning and heating systems combined. Also individual high and low-pressure steams, hydraulic, computerize puma tic controlled system in 6 to 50 stories building through the years. Draft & B/P Reading certificate. • 1980 The City of New York Evironmental Protection Administration Department of Air Resources Division of Training Certificate of Instruction. • New York City Technical College Associate in Applies Science. • Stratford Career Institute Contractor/Construction Management Diploma. Frank gave all of his children and relative sound, and valuable advice even when it hurts. Frank was a kind, compassionate and funny man. Frank captivated everyone with his charm and exuberant sense of humor. No matter what difficulties he faced in life, he was a proud and dignified man. He lived his life to the full and enjoyed every moment of his Relatives, Family, Children, Friends and his environment.
