James Edward Hunter (74) was born February 4,1946, in Enfield, NC. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Coy and Mary Etta Richards, and a brother Robert Earl Hunter. He graduated from Eastman High School in 1965 and moved to Newark, New Jersey in 1966. James worked for Ampco Tool & Die now known as US Blade Mfg Inc. located in Cranford, NJ for 54 years at his demise. His interests included avid bible studies, auto mechanics and spending time with family and friends. James is survived by his spouse Sharon Hunter; two daughters Sandra D. Hunter and Melissa Hunter from his previous marriage to Odell Hunter;, four grandchildren, Dontes Smith, Lakeedia Hunter, Jouvonte Melvin, and Michaud Hunter. He also leaves five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kiah., and Jaden Smith; Zachery William; and Jacyeon Smith. James also leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Edna Hunter of Newark NJ, and Elouise McGimpsey and brother in law Thomas McGimpsey of South Plainfield, NJ, one brother William Hunter and sister in-law, Maria Hunter, Oklahoma City, OK. He leaves 3 nieces and 4 nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews,uncles, aunts and cousins.
