Jayla Summayah Green was born November 9, 2002 the only child of Rafeeza Richardson. Jayla attended Miller St. and Louis A. Spencer elementary school, before moving to Atlanta Georgia, Where she graduated 8th grade at Brown Middle School. Jayla relocated back to Newark where she attended Malcolm X Shabazz and Barringer High School. Jayla was a vibrant teenager who enjoyed role playing her mother , dancing, swimming, art, fishing, and vacations. Jayla was a long time member of Newark south ward Boys & Girls Club where she played softball and participated in various activities. She was a cheerleader for Pop Warner football team (Stallions) and danced with the Purple Diamonds Dance Team of Atlanta Georgia. Jayla is cherished by her parents, 7 aunts- Tynesha, Debra, Rita, Febia, Brenda Richardson, Denise and Tamara Green. 5 uncles Jimmy, Benny, Kenneth, Stanley and Laron Richardson. Grandparents Rashad Mack and Iris Mccloud, half brother and Sister Angela and Nylan, her best friend Sierra Deloach, Step father, Lyonel Finklea and a host of other relatives, family and friends. Jayla was preceded in death by her great grandparents Mildred and Udell Richardson, cousin Larmond Brooks and Tyjanai Richardson.
