GOING HOME SERVICE & CELEBRATION OF LIFE SATURDAY OCTOBER 06, 2018 Marion Christine Ridley Williams January 05, 1930 - September 27, 2018 Marion Williams passed away Thursday September 27th, 2018 at Regency Heritage Jewish Nursing Home in Somerset after a long fight with Dementia and Kidney Disease. Born January 5th 1930 to Simon and Anna Ridley, she was the 4th eldest child of 11 brothers and sisters. Marion grew up in South Bound Brook and attended Bound Brook High School. After high school she moved on to have many accomplishments pursuing her singing career. In the 1950s young Marion was a guest on the then popular tv talent show, "The Arthur Godfrey Show". Marion went on to record several records and even landed a recording contract to sing with Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons now known as the "Jersey Boys". She also holds the title of the 1962 "Miss Talent" in the Miss Empire State Contest. Marion eventually went on to work for Somerset County Library where she retired. She worked hard, taking on security jobs as well and becoming a Home Health Aid until she was no longer able to work. Marion was predeceased by her parents Simon and Anna, her sister's Kelly Jean and Linda, brothers David, Donald, Gilbert, Milton and Rollon and lets not forget her beloved son Van. She is survived by brothers French of South Bound Brook, Jerry of Plainfield, and sister Gloria of somerset. She leaves behind daughters Barbara Ann Shannon and Tracy Leipzig-Anderson and Son in Law Chad Anderson. Grandkids Sonya and Adriane Ridley, Doug, Damar and Tasha Shannon, Darius Ronkowitz and Now Rule Elijah Branham along with a host of great grandchildren, neices and nephews.
