OBITUARY To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV A TIME TO BE BORN: Nangelean Gunn Taylor, a daughter of the late Deacon Clyde M. Gunn and Deaconess Louise Gunn, was born July 18, 1937 in Pittsylvania County Virginia. A TIME TO PLANT: Nangelean professed hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. She was leader of the Acteens, a Sunday School teacher, and she took care of the food pantry. She also worked as the church sexton for a number of years and was an active member of Seniors on the Move. Her most recent and cherished role was serving as Church Mother. A TIME TO LOVE: On June 1, 1956 she was united in holy matrimony to the late Anderson Taylor Sr. This union was blessed with four children: Anderson Jr., Aaron Drew (deceased), Janna Louise, and Shawn Francis. A TIME TO DIE: On the evening of Saturday, June 13, 2020, the Lord saw fit to call Nangelean to peaceful rest in her heavenly home. Her pain and suffering will be no more. A TIME TO MOURN: Nangelean leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved children: Anderson Jr. (Shirley), Janna, Shawn (Michele), Stepson Leon Terry (Linda), and Spiritual daughter Denise Hutchins (Oscar); Grandchildren: Shanel, Shana, Shalis, Shawn Marquis, Jessica, Niara, Eddie, Aaron, Dante, Tyrese, and Lamir (JoJo); Great grandchildren: Nahshon, Cherish, Jaxon, Jayce, Reese, Revan, Leilani, Hailey, Kaycee, and Gabriel; Sisters: JoAnn Johnson (Sam) and Bertha Hargrove of NJ; Brothers: Michael Gunn of Washington, DC and Clyde Gunn of NY; Sisters in Law: Sally Brooks, Maybelline Williams, Nannie Blackwood (Alfred) - all of Oxford, NC, and Mary Carroll (Ray) of Newark, NJ; Brother in Law: Walter Perry (Marjorie) of Oxford, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
