She was a gifted seamstress and loved to cook for family and friends. She was known for her homemade rolls and mac & cheese, although anything she cooked was savory and delicious. She enjoyed her morning decaf coffee and reading her bible. She sat for hours working on her wordsearch books.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was in the choir, part of the flower club, an usher and served on the board of trustees. Her and her sister, Mary, were always volunteering to cook for an event as well as the rest of the trustees and choir members.
Rose and Neily resided in Westfield NJ for over 55 years, upon which time they moved to Bowie MD in 2006. In 2015, Rose was diagnosed with Dementia. As time moved on, she slowly declined, but she was still full of zeal and faith. Her children rallied around her and took good care of her. Rose was a kind soul and greatly loved the Lord.
