Rose Marie Denson, fondly known as Nancy, was born on July 10, 1945 to Eugene Standup Miller and Blanch Roach-Miller in South Plainfield, New Jersey. She departed this life on February 21, 2024 peacefully at home in Somerset, New Jersey.
Nancy was a graduate of South Plainfield High School class of 1963, and retired from Ducan & Die in New Brunswick, New Jersey where she was a foreman for many years before retiring in the late 1980s. She was a beloved mother of five children, a grandmother of three, great-grandmother of six, and a beloved Aunt of a host of nieces and nephews.
Nancy loved to clean and cook for anyone who needed a meal. She was family oriented, and loved spending time with everyone. She was a neighborhood mother to all the children, a confidant to anyone who needed an ear. Nancy was a loving soul who judged no one, and accepted everyone. Her favorite saying was “you love em, I like em”.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Blanch Miller, sister Shirley McNeil, brothers Marion Richard Miller, Jimmy Standup Miller, Gene Miller, and Joseph Miller. She is survived by her brothers Philip Miller and Curtis Miller; children, Sherry Denson, Leonard Denson, Barry Denson, Kevin Denson and Tonya Denson; her grandchildren Nasheedah Willard-Holmes (Terence), Haafiza Wilson, Barry Wilson; great-grandchildren Jordyn, Cayden, Amia, Paris, and Blake, and bonus great-granddaughter Ashtyn; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
