Shirley Joyce Lee was born to Edward W and Mattie L Seabon on April 18, 1929 in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Shirley received her education in the Scotch Plains public school system graduating from High School in 1946. In continuing her education after graduating from high school, Shirley attended Newark Stenotype School, Drake Business School, Manhattan Medical and Dental Assistants School, and received a certificate of completion of Administrative Assistant course work from Union County College.
