Obituary of John Harris Jr.

John Harris, Jr. seventy-eight years old of Union, NJ was born in Dawson,
Georgia on May 26,1941 to John Harris Sr and Jessie Harris. He was the eldest of seven children. John
attended elementary school in Dawson, Georgia and the Newark public school system. He worked at
River Terminal as a crane operator and a bus operator, where he met his soul mate Dorothy Rogers.
John past time by reading the newspaper and watching his westerns. He also loved driving slow
and listening to his gospels.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Jessie Harris his siblings; Nettie Harris and Martha
Lyde , Melody Skipworth, Vernon Skipworth (Deborah), his children Beatrice and Rhonda Ross, Brian
Shaw, Willie Weston (Theresa), Javana Rhodes, Tyronda Rogers-Fogle (Raheem), Nina Thomas
(Michael), Rashon Rogers, daughter-in-law Carol Reid (19) grandchildren, (19) great-grand (1) great-
great grandchild.
John was preceded in death by his father John Harris Sr., his children Kevin Reid Jr, Timothy
Ross and his siblings Maggie J, James L, Blount and Neariah Harris.
