Anthony Redding was born in Elizabeth, NJ on January 10, 1967 He was the first born to Annie Redding and Tony Quinn. On  November 14, 2019 Anthony was granted his wings at the age of 52. Anthony was a loyal son, brother, uncle, grandfather, cousin and friend. You could always count on him when you needed him.

Anthony, was raised in Linden, NJ and educated in the Union County School System. He attended White Rock Baptist Church in Linden with his family  until he became a member of Guiding Star United Holy Church in Roselle. He was very familiar with The Word. Anthony held a variety of jobs over the years but most recently worked at Snapple as a forklift driver for several years.

His nieces remember all of the packs of Snapple and Mystics he would bring to them.  HE WAS A JACK OF ALL TRADES!

Anthony loved to watch reruns of old shows on TV Land like The Jeffersons, Good Times, Gunsmoke, Bonanza and any old western movie.  He was a New York Giants fan and loved watching the games while eating chicken wings.  You could always find him on the grill at any family gathering.  Anthony was also known as Tony but famously known as “Fu.”

From his union to Angela Redding, was instrumental in raising Rasheeda, Rochelle and Roy Gilbert. He was known as “Pop Pop Fu” to their children. Anthony was predeceased by his maternal grandparents , Maeola and Jimmy Redding and paternal grandparents John and Mary Bell Quinn.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Annie Redding and father Tony Quinn; two children Derek and Mashaunda Johnson; one aunt Rose McGhee; one uncle Henry Mac Redding;  one brother Tyrone Redding; three sisters Charisse Elliott (Ayoola),  Stacise Redding (Walter) and , Theresa Bray; three nieces Anayah and Tiajah Elliott and Shonae Stevens, whom he loved and would  talk to for hours; two nephews Jahmad and Kamori Bray; two best childhood friends Corey Floyd and Scottie Benjamin; special companion Wendy Robinson for years; and , a host of cousins and friends.  One thing for sure is that Anthony genuinely loved his family.  Those that knew him know he loved to  talk, laugh and have a good time. His presence will be missed!
