Obituary On Tuesday, April 28 th . The Angel of death visited 6 Eaton Place, East Orange New Jersey and plucked a beautiful flower to place in Heaven’s Garden. She was 83yrs old. Irma Barbara Johnson was born on January 19 th in Pittsylvania County Virginia to the late Willard W. Anderson and Madeline Glass Anderson Barley. Irma attended the Pittsylvania County Public schools where she graduated with Honors. She worshiped with her family at Riceville Missionary Baptist Church. In 1955, Irma came to the East Orange, NJ area and resided with her Aunt, Sue Straiten. Irma obtained additional training and was employed by First Union Bank (Wachovia bank), until her retirement in 2002 after 35 years of service. Irma joined the Abyssinian Baptist Church in 1956. She served the Mission Circle, Deaconess Board and many other committees until her health declined in August of 2016. Irma ‘s “Rock” has always been her love of God, her husband, her children, her family and her Abyssinian Baptist Church family. Irma leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, John C. Johnson, two children; Michelle Osavio (Ernesto), Rodney Johnson (Patricia). Four Grandchildren; Dayna Osavio, Dawnn Osavio, Devon Johnson and Ciara Johnson and one Great-Grand-daughter, Tianna Shell , Bother-laws James Gray, Junius I. Johnson, Leon Johnson and Waverly Crosson., Sisiter-in-laws ; Elzena Williams, Inez Anderson and Maria A. Crosson, along with the “BEST” Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by three brothers; Manchester, Clifton and Jesse. Five sisters; Dorothy, Isalene, Elmira, Suphronia and Phyillis.
