Obituary of Cheryl Brown

Cheryl Brown, 62, of Springfield, New Jersey, transitioned on May 15, 2020 in Summit, NJ. Cheryl Brown was born in Newark, NJ, but lived in Union, NJ for many years. She was the daughter of Carolyn E. Mills. Cheryl was also known as “Queen Brown” and was educated in the East Orange Public School district. She graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, New York, Kean University and Caldwell University in New Jersey. She was employed at Elizabeth Port Presbyterian Center in Elizabeth, NJ as a Pre-kindergarten teacher. “Queen Brown” will be remembered for her laughter, personality, baking, sewing, her love for children and dogs. Cheryl Brown was preceded in death by her grandparents Mildred Brown and Clyde Brown. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn E. Mills; her loving daughter, Leah Brown; her sister, Wendy Stanley; her nephew, Kyle Stanley; her niece, Nya Stanely; her aunt, Olivia Berry; her god daughter, April Adams; a host of relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
