Obituary of Mable S Beckwith

Mable S. Beckwith departed this life on October 14, 2020.  She was born to James and Lillie Jane McNeil on February 3, 1933, in Apex, NC.  Mable was married to Wilbur Beckwith in 1950 and was widowed in 1984.  In 1956, Mable moved from the Holly Springs/Fuquay Varina NC area to East Orange, NJ.  After her retirement, she lived in Weldon, NC, and Douglasville, GA, before returning to New Jersey.  She leaves to cherish her memory five children:  Dianne McNeil (Ahmed), Brenda Lewis, Portia Beckwith Rivers (Matthew), Joseph Beckwith (Rosalyn), and Tawanna Beckwith Harris (Guy). She is also survived by her brother, James McNeil Jr. (Megan), and sister Rosie Sneed.  Mable was blessed to be a mother figure to many and she especially loved her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren
