So, I met Brian when he moved in next door. It was maybe 2003/04, I don’t exactly remember but we hit it off right away.
In recent years we would talk once or twice a year to catch up, talk Knicks and such, but every time it was like we just spoke last week. I always felt like we connected, probably because he was such a genuine person and I respect that above most other attributes. I’m not sure when we last spoke, but it had been too long, and then I discover he’s gone. To his family, you have my deepest most heartfelt condolences. Compared to any of you and probably most everyone that saw him regularly I barely knew him, yet I can’t help but cry as I write this, it’s devastating. Again, I’m so sorry for your loss.

I am saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. Although I haven’t spoken to Brian in a long time, I still remember his laugh and his great sense of humor from working with him at Aetna. He was always in good spirits and took every opportunity to make a joke. I hope Brian’s wife, children, family, and friends can find peace and comfort in the memories they have of him and knowing that he is with the Lord. Please accept my sincere condolences and sympathy. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

There are some people who are unforgettable, Brian is one of those people. He only worked at Horizon Blue Cross for a short time but had such a wonderful, warm and witty spirit He was and will never be forgotten. May God continue to bless and keep his Family.

I was so saddened to learn of Brian's passing. We became friends while working at Aetna years ago, and as I read the messages from others...it's so very clear. Everyone loved Mr. Wilkins. He was a good person, a true gentleman, and always ready to make you laugh. I often commended him for always being so well dressed for work. Only he could work a bow tie with style. A caring soul with an easy spirit, who could get along with all who came along. It's still shocking to write this, as we just had the chance months ago to share a meal after the workday, talk some sports and past work experiences, and have more laughs. But I especially remember how fondly he spoke of his family, and how he looked after his father at the time. Brian loved his family dearly.
Much respect to Brian, and my sincere condolences to his wife, children and entire family. Rest easy my friend. It was a joy to know and work with you over the years. You will be sorely missed by all.

I”ll love you always MR B. You weren’t just my uncles best friend. You were like an uncle to me also. The most chill and coolest guy. We bonded over the New York knicks, played video games, connected over music and tech. You were the man. I always cherish our time we spent together when we both worked in NYC and you’d pick me up from my mothers and we’d ride into NYC together and catch up and talk and separate when we landed in penn station. You were a blessing to all of the lives you touched. I love you man and condolences to your lovely wife, children and family. Thank you Mr. B. -Sal

Brian was definitely one of a kind, like no other. I met Brian in 2019 at Cornell, the recent place of employment. Though we worked in different departments, that didn't stop us from coming fast friends. He was known as my "brotha from anotha motha and I was his "sista from anotha mista". I met Brian on his first day and he seemed like calm, cool and collected dude. He sat about 3 cubicles away from me on the other side of a wall. (If I stood up, I'd see the top of that shiny head.) On Brian's second day, he must have said good morning to me and I didn't hear him because when I went past his cubicle, I said, " Morning, Brian". He looked at me and said, " I said "good morning to you and you ignored me like I wasn't even here". At first I was stunned, then I realized that this guy was a jokester. He then followed with, "What? You don't like me or something?" I replied, "Yeah. I can't stand you..." We both laughed and at that moment, I knew that we would be friends. We would banter on a daily basis. Brian was good at the comebacks and incredibly funny! When I needed help with something, he was right there offering his services.
He was one of the most generous, kind-hearted people that I have ever met. Everyday, Brian came to work and brought his humor, wit and his lighthearted attitude. He was a class act. Everyone loved him. Though I only knew Brian for a short time, it seemed as if I knew him a lifetime. I think that goes to show what kind of person he really was...a gem.
My deepest condolences goes out to his beloved wife, children and his whole family. I hope that they can find some peace to help them through their healing.
(I have posted two photos. Both at the company functions. One is at a Somerset Patriots game and the other is of Brian sporting his customized bowling shirt at the company's bowling night. We teamed up against another team and won!)
