Obituary of Lauretta Hill

Lauretta Hill also known as (Retta) was born on October 6,1941 in Newark, N.J to the late William Henry Griffin Sr and Estelle Harrison. She entered into eternal rest on September 23,2021. As she will truly be missed and always loved.

 

Lauretta attended and graduated from Girls Vocational and Tech High School in Newark, N.J in 1959. While attending; she fell in love with Fashion and Design.

 

Retta enjoyed going to the Meadowlands Racetrack to bet on her favorite horses, going to the casinos and playing cards. She loved going shopping, listening to country and old school songs, watching movies and looking at church on tv. She loved reading her Bible and writing down scriptures. She was a very straightforward person and loved to show her love even sometimes in tough ways. She was a great mom and she loved God and her family soooooo very much.

 

She leaves to cherish the memories with late husband Stephen Rudy Hill. Sons Curtis Hill, the late Fred Hill, Larry Hill, Dwayne Hill, Steven Hill. Her twin daughters Laureen Hill and Laurie Hill-Williams.Siblings:Barbara Ponder, William GriffinJr, Marcia Lindsey, Kurt Griffin, Merri McKnight, Lisa Griffin, Judith Griffin, Trudy Balsamel, Leslie Griffin- Mumford. Grandchildren Wynee Spencer, Yasmine Baldwin-Hill, Samijah Hill, Amyrah Williams, Avah Williams, Adorah Williams. Mi-Kell Hill, Breanna Hill, Malaysia Hill and Miguel Hill. And a host of great grand kids,aunts,uncles,nieces,nephews,cousins, inlaws, and friends and family
