Obituary of Jerry D Hill
Jerry Hill, 46, of Piscataway, New Jersey, departed this life on September 8, 2023.
Jerry was born on May 11, 1977, to Jerry and Mary Ann Hill in Muhlenberg Hospital Plainfield, NJ. After graduating from Piscataway High School in 1995, he went on to study the Technical Training Program at Essex County College. Jerry graduated in 1997 and began his career with his first job at Novartis as a Parenterals Lead Operator. In 1998 to 2009 he worked at Schering Plough in various areas within the organization as a Process Development Specialist and Lab Technician. Jerry continued his career with Merck from 2010 until his passing, working in the High-Pressure Lab, SSO Plant and 3D Technologies where he was well-respected by his peers and colleagues.
Jerry is LOVED by many, was quick to make friends, and was devoted to his loving family. He was a great listener and always had the right words of support, advice, and encouragement. As a fearless go-to guy, he was ready to help find solutions for his loved ones, going the extra mile for those who relied on him. Whenever Jerry entered a room, his smile and charm affected everyone around him, and his joy was reflected in their spirits. His maternal Great-grandfather recognized this infectious joy early on and was the one who dotingly gave him the nickname “Wezzie” as a baby.
Jerry’s passion for life was expressed through his travels around the world, seeking adventure, new experiences, and savoring every moment. He was also a car and motorcycle enthusiast who treasured his time rebuilding a classic car and motorcycle with his father. Jerry was also affectionately known as a tech connoisseur and would often be the first person with the newest gadget, staying ahead of the trends with the latest and greatest.
Jerry will forever be remembered by his beloved wife of fifteen years, Josen Hill; his mother Mary Ann Hill; his sister Tamekia Hill (Tyrone); great-aunt Eula Henry; uncles Stevie Hill, Jeff Hill (Aurora), and Greg Hill (Regina); bonus mom Bertha and his cousins Marcus Hill, Jahmari Hill, Isaiah Hill, Jahmee Hill. His memory will live on in the hearts of his warm, loving extended family, his many friends, and everyone who had the good fortune to know him.
