Leonard C. Denson, Jr. (Bilal), also known as Lokey, was born on December 15, 1964 to Leonard C. Denson, Sr. and Rose Marie Miller in Plainfield, New Jersey.  He departed this life on March 9, 2024 peacefully at home in Somerset, New Jersey.

Lokey was a graduate of Lincoln Technical School with a Certification in HVAC.

He was a father of one daughter, one granddaughter, one nephew, and one niece.

Lokey had a smile and personality that would light up anyone’s day.  His words when speaking to you would be full of energy and wisdom.  He was always on the go, even after falling ill, nothing could keep him down.  Lokey was very charismatic and was loved by everyone who met him.  He took joy and pride in his daughter whom he called “Princess”, and his only granddaughter, whom he called his “Little Princess”.  He was an early riser and would use his favorite saying “Rise and Shine” when he got up, waking up the whole house.

Lokey was predeceased by his father, Leonard C. Denson, Sr. and his mother, Rose Marie Denson. He is survived by his daughter, Nasheedah Willard-Holmes (Terence), granddaughter, Jordyn Holmes; sisters Sherry M. Denson and Tonya Denson; brothers Barry Denson and Kevin Denson; nephew Barry Wilson; niece Haafiza Wilson; two uncles Phil Miller and Curtis Miller; and a host of family and friends.
