Obituary of Billy Nelson Williams

Billy Nelson Williams, son of the late Marie and Nelson Williams, was born on December 3, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey. He was called home on Tuesday, December 25, 2018.

Billy also affectionately known as “Dollar Bill” grew up in Belleville, where his family lived for over fifty years. He was educated in the Belleville school system before enlisting in the United States Marines. Billy loved his family and was so very proud and protective of them. Loved ones that cleared the path for Billy are his loving mother Marie Williams, his dear father Nelson P. Williams and his adoring sister Edna Pearl Fitts.

Billy held various jobs at Fords, Anchor Motor Freight, and Clara Maas Medical Center before his motorcycle accident which permanently disabled him. He didn’t let his accident deter his love for his Harley and the Newark Outcast Motorcycle Club where he was a co-founder. He loved traveling to the different chapters in Detroit and Atlanta. Billy experienced challenges and hurdles in this race called life but by the grace of our Lord and Savior he crossed the finished line.  

Loved ones that will miss Billy: 1 sister: Gloria Marie Williams, Belleville, NJ; 2 nieces: Crissy Fitts-Riley (Rajon), Michelle Fitts, 3 nephews: Tyrone Fitts (Yesmir), Mark (Gloria) and David (Baneeshia) Williams; 9 Great nieces and nephews: Ciara, Monique, Jodivel, Kalel, Joel, Emmanuel, Layla, Dorian and Amari. 4 Aunts: Elizabeth Willis, Chester, PA, Fannie Brown, Warrenton, NC and Ella Foster, Henderson, NC, Mary Willie Towns of Newark, NJ; 6 Uncles: Mason (Mildred), Alex (Willie Bea), Archie (Elizabeth) of Warrenton, NC, Spencer (Ethel) of Darson, GA and Neanie of Groton, CT, Joan Lane (Mattie) Christmas; and a host of cousins and friends.
