Tyrell Marcus Robinson was born on July 3, 1988 in New Brunswick, NJ.  He entered the Promise Land on March 3, 2021.

Tyrell grew up at St. James AME Church in East Millstone, NJ and was baptized September 15, 1996 under the leadership of Rev. Alma P. Mack.

Tyrell, also known as “Hurricane”, was reared and educated in the New Brunswick school system until relocating to Florida.  He graduated with a high school diploma from Martin City High School in 2005.  He continued his studies in technology at the Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Tyrell was self-employed at Hurricane Technologies, Inc. in Hamilton, NJ from 2002 until the time of his death.

As a child, Tyrell had a carefree spirit and loved his freedom, which was demonstrated in his ability to navigate effortlessly in his journey of life as an adult.  He was outgoing, energetic, and was known as a prankster.  Even though he played a good prank on you, they were always in good taste.

Tyrell will always be remembered for his zest for life, smile, and kindness.  His effervescent personality brought joy and excitement to anyone he encountered.  He was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family and friends.  Tyrell was always there to brighten the lives of others.  He had a sweet spirit and was committed to family, making sure that you were well taken care of.

Tyrell was predeceased by his “dad” Arnold Abdul Thompson; grandfather, Lyman Kinsey; great-grandparents Earl Kinsey, Willie and Idella Robinson; and nephew, Josiya Serrano.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Carla Robinson Jones; two brothers, Reddrick Robinson and Cleon Jones, Jr.; three sisters, Amber, Ramona, and Asia Thompson; grandmother, Julia Kinsey; great-grandmother, Waltertina Kinsey; aunts, Tina and Michell Kinsey; uncle, Kenny Robinson (Mary); cousins, Tiffany, Kendra, Keisha, Keith, Kenny, Kevin, Tarsha, and Malik; god-daughter Janiyah; and a great number of family and friends.

“You can shed tears that he is gone

or you can smile because he has lived.”
