Obituary of Carlton Johnson

Carlton Johnson affectionately known as "Black" was born in Newark, Nj on September 18,1966 to the late Levi Mincy and Betty Jean Mincy. He gained his heavenly wings on September 29, 2021 after a battle with cancer.

Carlton was educated in the East Orange School system graduating Fromm East Orange High School in 1984.

Carlton loved to play chess and pool , he was also known for cracking jokes and hiking, Carlton had a full personality that you could always depend on, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, Carlton had a sympathetic heart that made him concerned about the wellbeing of everyone. 

Carlton especially loved and took great pride in his kids, Jerez and Chantel and his two granddaughters Jada and Dior 

Carlton leaves to cherish his memory one son Jerez Johnson one daughter Chantel Johnson, 2 granddaughters, Jada Johnson and Dior Goines, 4 brothers Leonard Mincy who proceeds in death , Kelly Mincy, Levi Mincy and Edward Carter. 3 sisters, Quixote Johnson, Marcia Carter and Nikkole Carter. A very close friend "Kant" his daughter mother and a host of nieces, relatives and friends.

With memories that go beyond measure, we will continue to celebrate the life of our beloved Carlton Johnson.
