Obituary of Sheila Elaine Williams

Please share a memory of Sheila to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sheila Elaine McIntyre-Williams was born on December 19th, 1950 to the late Shirley Penny-McIntyre and Arthur McIntyre in Syracuse, New York. She was the youngest of four children: Bruce Arthur McIntyre Sr (deceased), Ronnie Arthur McIntyre (deceased), and Roland Arthur McIntyre (deceased).

Sheila was known greatly for her intellect which remained evident past her graduation from college and into her professional and personal endeavors. Professionally, she worked as a computer programmer for BMW for over 25 years. Utilizing her love for mathematics and her problem solving skills Sheila was able to lead  projects that were prominent to the overall functionality, success, and growth of the company. She served as a manager to other computer programmers throughout her time in the profession. BMW programmers across the globe relied on her thinking to solve crucial issues that arose in the company’s software.

Personally, Sheila loved to play chess and computer games in her free time. She enjoyed reading, watching Sci-Fi programs, and going to the beach. Some of her favorite movies, and shows, included: The Oz, True Blood, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, A Christmas Story, and Miracle on 34th Street. You could often find her listening to Chaka Khan, Keshia Cole, or even Mariah Carey.

She is survived by her two children Tanya McArthur and Vaughn McIntyre. Her grandchildren A’tiqah, Tajanay, Alexis, Sierra, DaShawn, Zaniya, DeVaughn, and JaVaughn. Her great grandchildren Derell (deceased), Kamar, A’Naliah, and DaShawn Jr. as well as beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Shelia will be remembered as a woman full of wisdom and strength. We can all learn from her ability to preserve and work hard in order to achieve greatness.
