Obituary of Audrey G Sardella

Audrey G. Sardella, 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Audrey was born in Glendale Queens, NY to the late Gilbert and Katherine Grape. She grew up in Ridgewood Queens, NY before moving to Jersey City and later Piscataway in 2008.

 

Audrey was a secretary for many years before working in the legal department for AT&T retiring in 1958. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Wheel-of-Fortune and was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church Young at Heart Club.

 

Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

         

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, John Sardella in 2010, a son, Dominick Sardella, a brother, Gilbert Grape II, and a sister, Muriel Mangino.

         

Surviving are her loving daughter, Lucy Sardella Lawrence and husband Bill and her cherished grandson, James Lawrence. Also survived and greatly loved by numerous nephews and nieces in NY, NJ, CA and MD.

         

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 600 Harris Ave., Middlesex, NJ 08846 or Parker Foundation, 1421 River Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854.
