Obituary of Sumpter Lee Lett

Loving husband and father, On November 19, 2022, Sumpter L. Lett aka "Sump" went home to be with the Lord. Sumpter was born on December 30, 1937, in Monroeville, Alabama. The Township of Hillside, NJ, became his new home after graduating from high school in 1958 and moving North with his wife Margaret. He worked for Ford Motor Company, as an Assembly Line Worker for 35 years. Sumpter is preceded in death by his father, Leonard; mother, Azalean;  sisters, Venator, Gladys and Mary; his brothers, Willie D., Leonard Jr. and James; and his son, Sumpter Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret; his five children, Sheila, Debra, Tanya, Michele and Latifa along with a host of grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
