Obituary of Michelle Francis

Michelle Francis was born in Newark, New Jersey on July 8, 1963 to the late Mollie & Ezra Eaddy. She was the second oldest of three girls.

A longtime resident of Irvington NJ, in 1977 Michelle attended Irvington High School where she was a star track and field athlete. When Michelle was in the 10^th grade at Irvington High, she met her high school sweetheart Andrei Francis Sr. After graduating high school in 1981, Michelle attended Rutgers Newark University. While in college, she learned that she was pregnant and later gave birth to a baby boy named Andrei Jr. in 1983. Michelle and Andrei Sr. were married in 1988 and in 1989 they welcome their second child, a daughter named Aliah.

Michelle worked at various jobs including Eastern Benefit and Blue Cross Blue Shield before her career at Fedex. Michelle was a dedicated well-known employee at Fed Ex for over 28 years.

Michelle loved to spend time with her sisters Rhonda and Felicia (Lisa). Michelle’s friends were her chosen family. She also loved partying, traveling, and shopping. She especially loved to shop at Target, Walmart, and Costco. If you knew Michelle you knew that she had a big personality, spoke her mind often; even when she wasn’t asked.  Michelle was so proud of her children. She celebrated their accomplishments and she boasted about her grandson.

Michelle was called home to her eternal resting place on Friday, December 2, 2022. Michelle was preceded in death by her loving parents. 

Michelle leaves to cherish and mourn her beloved memory: her children Andrei M. (Kellie) Francis Jr., Aliah J. (Quincy) Gibson, one grandson: Quinn Gibson, two sisters: Rhonda Eaddy & Felicia McCray, two nephews: Ian Faulkner & Eric Harris and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She will truly be missed by us all.
