I've seen them come and I've seen them go.... But Jakwon was a very unique soul that I'll never forget! I worked with him at a fiber optics cable company in Oriskany New York. He was such a nice guy and a hard worker. I told him I wish I had as beautiful hair as he had, haha. He would wear it in either a fro or have it braided but either way it was always on point! Everyone loved the hair and smile. Handsome young man! When Jakwon laughed he really laughed which made me laugh. I told him he was still young for 27 and was so intelligent. His last day working at the company I shook his hand and told him I would miss working him very much and I knew great things would be in his future and he gave me the warm smile and laugh he did so often and said goodbye back and walked away. That was the last time I would see him. I think about him often and I've realized I was right! I was right that great things would come his way despite him leaving this earth in a sad untimely fashion I know he is eternally with the angels in heaven and is laughing again. I will miss him! I will always remember the good in him and no one will ever be able to dim the beautiful light that he emitted! You are loved Jakwon!

Jakwon an I have been friends for a very long time, I am so grateful I got to know the real him. I can’t even put into words how much he meant to me. I thank God for reuniting us these past 2 years and letting me witness the man you were growing into. Jakwon was a strong educated young man, he always came with the facts and wasn’t easily broken. My brother and best friend, our birthdays are legit 6 days apart, we kept each other going. I’ll never forget that laugh of his, his playfulness, nor how his deep voice shook the room every time he spoke. He was always the best dressed, it never mattered where he was going. I’ll forever cherish these memories, you’re one of one Hazie! My hearts broken, my condolences to the entire family.

I worked with Jakwon up in the Utica NY area.. he was a hard working individual and incredibly intelligent. His hard work directly contributes to our ability to communicate through fiber optic cable. Jakwon ran a production line that makes the the main component in fiber optic cable, which is the backbone of the world’s telecommunications infrastructure. When I hit “send”, this message will travel at the speed of light through a thin strand of glass- an “optical fiber cable that Jakwon may have helped make.. if not this message, then Someone else’s message or video or phone call or text message will travel through. Jakwon was not only hard working, but he was funny, fun to talk to, had a great laugh, and everyone liked him. He will be missed and I pray that his loved ones will have peace knowing that he will be seen again.. God IS love and he knows Jakwon’s heart better than we do. Best Regards, -Ben :)
