Obituary of Rowland Lee Pendleton Sr.

Rowland Lee Pendleton Sr. of Carteret, New Jersey left this life to return with the Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Rowland was born to the late Norvell Sr. and Juanita Pendleton on November 18, 1960. Rowland was raised in Carteret, New Jersey.

Rowland was well known for always getting dressed up. He loved his suits and his smell goods. Rowland was also a very neat man and didn’t like anyone touching his stuff. He was very particular about his things and would always be able to tell if someone touched them. Rowland had a love for the funeral home business and was so proud that his Bratt (Danielle) shared the same passion. He was also very proud that his Pooh Bear (Curtis) shared the love of football and that he was able to coach him on the field. In addition to that, he had his first born son, his Jr Rollie right by his side, which included some of the most joyous moments of his life. One thing for sure everyone knew: Rowland loved his children and grandchildren.

Rowland Lee Pendleton Sr. was predeceased by his parents, Norvel Sr. and Juanita Pendleton.

Rowland Lee Pendleton Sr. leaves to cherish his memory his children Danielle (John), Rowland Jr., and Curtis, his grandchildren Taneyah, Janelle, and Jazmine, his brother Norvell Jr., the mother of his children Cynthia, along with a multitude of friends and family.

To say that Rowland will be missed is an understatement, but it gives his family comfort in knowing that he resides in the presence of the almighty God and free from all the cares of this life.
